The Blog Experience

In general, I loved the dynamics of writing a blog about us, I never imagined that I would write in a blog because I only see them in movies, I didn't know that it is very satisfying, thanks to that I was able to write memories that I had forgotten.

My favorite publication is where I talk about my best friend, it was a pleasant moment for me to write about her and some experiences together, since I return to live in Temuco I miss seeing her often, we talk almost every day and having written about her made me remember nice moments. The post that I liked least to write was about a family meal, I don't have many in my family and since my aunt, my mom's twin sister, passed away, since then my family is sadder and we don't see each other as much as before. Remembering family meals are very old moments in my life that make me nostalgic.

The blog that I definitely liked the most is the teacher's, his life is full of experiences and travel, he must know many things about life with everything he has seen and learned.

Thanks to the blog I was able to learn more words in English and now I can understand a little more when I read it, but mainly the dynamics amused me, I think it has been one of the best ways I have learned, and in general I do not understand anything when they show only a PowerPoint and they talk, I remember nothing, but something more interactive and personal I really liked.

My career

When I was little I never knew that there was a career called design, my dream was to be a singer and an artist, I sang for my family and wrote songs, I always liked drawing and creating objects, and I was always very good at using programs like Word or PowerPoint. When I was 12 years old, my older cousin went to university to study graphic design, I always admired her creativity, that's when I learned about the existence of the career. When I was 14 years old, the idea arose in my school year to have a party to raise money for the study tour, we paid for some things and the parents rejected the idea, with my group we took over the event, I began to design the tickets, posters, Instagram posts and I realized it was very good, our party had a huge line to get in and we made a lot of money.

I became an event organizer and designer for the events, I worked for 3 years in that and I was able to support myself without asking my family for money.

Before the covid I gave up my product and started to be an independent designer, during the quarantine I worked for my older cousin who is a coach of a world gamer team, analyzing game programming and designing. At the end of the pandemic I went back to work alone, I always met a lot of people who know about my work, at least 2 people spoke to me a month to work with them on short projectors.

Currently, thanks to project 5, I have a job in an aesthetic salon in Alameda, I am fulfilling my dream of making a living from art, I love my job and I am grateful that I did not make the wrong career path, I think it is for me.

TV show I watched as a child

Gravity Falls is the story of 13 year old twin brothers, Mabel and Dipper, who go to the town of Gravity Falls to spend the summer with their great-uncle Stan, owner of the Mystery Shack, where he tries to scam clueless tourists by inventing fantastic creatures that supposedly inhabit the forest of the territory, along with his helper Sos. Dipper is involved in the mystery of the town and each chapter discovers new creatures of the forest, some villains and interacting with the people of the town, as well as being in love with Wendy, a great teenager from the town. And her sister Mabel is a very happy, childish girl and always tries to be a good person, she accompanies her brother on all his adventures. In a fantastic program with a plot that I really liked because of the beings they created and each story of the characters, especially the mystery of the story that is being formed, I recommend it.

I watched this program when I went to school, I was between 11 or 12 years old when they gave it on Disney at night before going to sleep. My little brothers still liked it and to this day we look it up at Disney to see it.

My favorite series

My favorite series I met in 2010 thanks to my stepfather, The Walking Dead had just been released. We started watching it with my whole family, my mom, my stepfather and my younger brother. My mom was pregnant at the time and it was hard for her to watch the series because she would get nervous.

The Walking Dead is an apocalypse series, where a virus revives the dead to eat living flesh. It all starts with a policeman who wakes up after a coma locked in a hospital ward, where no one was alive, his mission begins with finding his family and when he finds them he must protect them and his entire group, as he progresses the history. they have to find safe places and fight with other groups of people to survive. From the first episode I saw I loved it, and I was always attentive when another season came out.

The series has 11 seasons so far, it has turned 13 and has been a success since its premiere, it is my favorite series and that of my family, when my younger sister was born in 2012, she began to watch it from a very young age Although it was a little scary at first. I remember many Halloweens in which we would dress up as zombies and with my mom we would learn to make very real wound makeup. My cousins and aunts watch it too, it's a family treat, we're also Marvel fans.

Roots restobar

Hello, today I am going to talk about Roots, my favorite restobar in Santiago is located in Bellavista.

What I like most about a place is the atmosphere and the music, and at Roots you can listen to reggae and dancehall, I love it and I feel very comfortable. The place is full of paintings on the walls of people with dreadlocks and smoking, the furniture is all made of wood and the decoration is cozy.

I always invite different people and they love the place, the one I enjoy going with the most is my partner, on weekend nights there is a DJ on the terrace, everyone dances and is very friendly.

I always ask for fries with some sauce, they are very tasty, and since I don't drink alcohol I ask for a natural juice or lemonade. But there is everything, sandwiches, pizza, beer, cocktails, among others.

I discovered it last year walking back from an LGTB+ club with my best friend, we passed by outside and my attention was drawn to the music and the paintings, since then I try to go at least once a month.

My best friend

I really like our story with my best friend, we found out about our existence in 2021 because she was my girlfriend's ex-girlfriend that year, she kept in touch and they were friends, it didn't bother me. Until we finished and in the summer of that same year I met a group of rapper and skeiter friends through a school friend. We became very close friends and the best friend of "Chino" was the ex of my ex-girlfriend. It's hard to understand, but fun.

After the New Year, on January 1, 2022, we went to an LGBT+ club in a giant group and among them was Chino and his best friend Aylin, but we call him Nemo. That night it was like we had known each other forever and she had the same connection to her best friend that I have to my best friend.

A week later I went to stay at his house and we started talking almost every day (all this was in Temuco), but this coincidence that we both studied at the university in Santiago, returning to class we started going out together to parties being the perfect duo We didn't need more people to have a great time, we made many friends who always invited us out. Many times they thought that we are girlfriends because of the chemistry we have, but we do not feel romantic love at all, we love each other like sisters.

We are both artists, she is studying Audiovisual Communication and I am Design. He loves taking pictures and he taught me a lot about it. I taught him about programs and criticism of design. Together we go to museums, rap battles, to parks at night, to dance, to viewpoints to have a beer and we always smoke together, a rapper and a hippie. We call each other “your favorite trucks” because we're male lesbians and our life together is so much fun.

Until we both faced emotional problems where we both bordered on death, but we unconditionally saved each other, Nemo returned to Temuco and I entered rehabilitation in Santiago. The last time we saw each other was two weeks ago when he traveled to Santiago to see his girlfriend and me, he stayed in the apartment for a few days, we went out dancing and spent the whole night on the terrace talking with a beer and smoking.

“Come out of the closet”

You may have heard the saying “come out of the closet” many times, and perhaps even you have had to do it. Unfortunately we live in a society where gender is assumed for sex and heterosexuality. If you have never read an experience and you are interested in hearing one, here is mine.

Before coming out of the closet you realize that you are different from what is seen socially, this happened to me when I was 5 years old, in first grade a new girl arrived and I did not understand my need to be with her beyond the limits of a friendship, with the weeks I confirmed that it was mutual. But before the end of the year, he left, and to this day I don't know if it was because of ours.

Until I was 12 years old, I did not know what it was to be a lesbian, until new girls arrived who came from a convent school, they caused a "fashion" for being bisexual and lesbian, I say fashion because currently only two of them liked women of TRUE. I started to be homophobic with myself, that I would never like a woman (I was in love with my best friend).

Over the years I couldn't bear to hide it anymore, and at 14 I secretly had my first girlfriend, and my second girlfriend proposed to me on stage at a party, so I came out of the closet in public and on all social media haha, I finally told her to my family in a conversation in the kitchen and they told me that they already knew about it years ago, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I was on many people's lips.

Now I'm proudly lesbian, I hope you're proud of who you are too.

Scout

Hello! I want to talk a little about one of my hobbies from the age of 13 until today, scout, how it works in my group in Temuco that is attached to the Mapuche culture.

Scout is a children's and youth movement, where you commit to do good deeds and live new adventures that fill you with knowledge. And you acquire knowledge and values such as environmental awareness, leadership, teamwork, socialize, camping skills, work ethic, be proud of your culture, social awareness, among other things.

The Scout Movement was born as a way to combat crime in England at the beginning of the twentieth century, seeking the physical, spiritual and mental development of young people so that they would become "good citizens" through a specific method inspired by life. military and outdoor.

In the movement there are stages, called units from seven years to twenty-one (varies according to the scout group), in my group these units are first the swallows, girls from seven to eleven years, cubs, boys from seven to eleven years, company , girls from eleven to fifteen years old, troop, boys from eleven to fifteen years old, advanced, young people from fifteen to seventeen years old and the last one is clan, young adults from seventeen to twenty-one years old.

The scout can be recognized by the scarves, of different colors and designs, these have meanings and characterize each scout group. Another characteristic element is the totem or void, a wooden stick adorned with skins, leather, pennants and carvings. When you finish all your stages and pilgrimages, you can be the leader of a unit and be the one who teaches.

A family meal

One of the few family meals that I remember was for Valentine's Day in 2015 at the house that belonged to my older aunt in Temuco, my mother had a twin sister who had a daughter the same age as me, my cousin is like my best friend and sister, they both gave us the middle name Valentina and since my grandmother is religious they always celebrate our Saint, or well it was like that a few years ago before my mother's twin aunt passed away, she loved to celebrate us important dates with love.

At that dinner they made a barbecue and for dessert we ate thousand-leaf cake, which is the only one we liked with my cousin. At dinner there were my 5 cousins and my sister and brother, my mother, my 2 aunts, my uncle and my grandmother. With my older cousin we have always been the funniest and we talked a lot during the whole dinner.

As a gift our mothers gave us a silver necklace with our initial and with an engraving of the date on the other side, to this day we have those necklaces and I remember that day with much love. They also bought us the same things even when we were very old, so we were dressed the same (I don't have photos of that day).

Brasil

I have only left the country once in my life, to Argentina on my study tour when I was in third grade. I really liked getting to know another country, in Argentina there are a lot of parties and I went out every day for a week, it was worth it. I also ate a lot of chocolate and alfajores.

The country that I would like to visit the most is Brazil, I really like carnivals, I grew up in Calama where dancing is encouraged with carnivals like Ayquina and La Tirana, I often dance in them and I loved the party atmosphere, dance and celebration.

Ever since I saw the movie "Rio" the story of a blue bird in the city of Rio de Janeiro, I was enchanted by the music, the culture, the dances, the costumes, the colors and how incredible the carnival looks. Since then one of my dreams is to visit Rio, I share this pleasure with my partner and recently we talked about which country we would like to visit first, we both happened to be in Brazil for the same reasons. We would go for at least one week from February 17, which is when the carnival begins, also to see the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, the statue of Christ the Redeemer (one of the seven wonders of the world), I hope to go soon.

Vertigo Park

Hello classmates and teacher, today I will tell you about my weekend.

Sunday was election day, in the morning we went to vote with my ex-girlfriend, and in the afternoon we went to Mahuida Park with my ex-girlfriend, her mother, her sister and her boyfriend, a family outing. It may sound strange that I'm hanging out with my ex-girlfriend and her family, but we're thinking of going back, we get along great, and her family still invites me on family outings.

The four of us enjoy extreme games, whenever we go out we try to find what to do for fun, in Vertigo Park we jump on the swing, a structure that simulates a swing where they lift you from about 40 meters or perhaps more and let you fall. you swing until you slow down.

A long time ago I had seen this game on tik tok and with my ex girlfriend it caught our attention, it was a great experience because we jumped together, there was motivated music, we screamed and laughed a lot, it gave us this feeling in our stomachs of tickling from the fall free from the start

We spent about an hour in the park looking at the view of Santiago and talking with each other.

Rincondelrasta

Hello colleagues and teacher, today I will talk about an Instagram social network account that I have been following for about 3 years, the page is called @rincondelrasta. Upload content about the Rastafarian religion, which is very similar to the Catholic religion, except that God is called Jah and promotes a natural and peaceful lifestyle, moving away from an electronic and evil life.

His posts are about tips for living life to the fullest "tips from a rasta", illustrations from nature and influencers in the movement, information about the conscious use of cannabis, reggae songs and also images of other rastas.

When I started to make my hippie lifestyle visible, I searched on Instagram for pages about the rasta movement to get informed and follow content that I like, then I found this account that I now visit almost every day, what I like the most are the illustrations and the posts of life advice. They always publish information on how the fight for the legalization of marijuana and the release of prisoners for sowing is going, a topic that personally interests me a lot because conscious smoking accompanies this full lifestyle and for Rastas it is part of religion.

Life advice can help you if you care to read it.

My summers in the country

When I lived in Calama we always traveled with my mother, my sister and my brother to Temuco every summer, in this photo I was 11 years old and we went to my grandfather's field one weekend in January 2015. My grandfather lives alone in his land and with my family we go almost every summer to see it. In this photo we are running because they called me, my four cousins, my brother and my little sister that I am carrying, who were playing in part of the field to have lunch (you can see my grandfather's cows).

My family comes from poverty, where everyone lived in the countryside in a house made by my great-grandfather, a few years ago my grandfather built a better house compared to the previous one.

The countryside is a nice place for my family where we have all grown up and watch my grandfather grow old. I always played with my cousins and brothers to build houses with sticks, look for pine nuts and digüeñes from the trees, play the countries, soccer, volleyball, cross the river, accompany my grandfather to look for the animals, harvest vegetables from the garden and many other things. There was no internet at that time in the house, so we were looking for ways to have fun with games.
