Rincondelrasta

Hello colleagues and teacher, today I will talk about an Instagram social network account that I have been following for about 3 years, the page is called @rincondelrasta. Upload content about the Rastafarian religion, which is very similar to the Catholic religion, except that God is called Jah and promotes a natural and peaceful lifestyle, moving away from an electronic and evil life.

His posts are about tips for living life to the fullest "tips from a rasta", illustrations from nature and influencers in the movement, information about the conscious use of cannabis, reggae songs and also images of other rastas.

When I started to make my hippie lifestyle visible, I searched on Instagram for pages about the rasta movement to get informed and follow content that I like, then I found this account that I now visit almost every day, what I like the most are the illustrations and the posts of life advice. They always publish information on how the fight for the legalization of marijuana and the release of prisoners for sowing is going, a topic that personally interests me a lot because conscious smoking accompanies this full lifestyle and for Rastas it is part of religion.

Life advice can help you if you care to read it.

My summers in the country

When I lived in Calama we always traveled with my mother, my sister and my brother to Temuco every summer, in this photo I was 11 years old and we went to my grandfather's field one weekend in January 2015. My grandfather lives alone in his land and with my family we go almost every summer to see it. In this photo we are running because they called me, my four cousins, my brother and my little sister that I am carrying, who were playing in part of the field to have lunch (you can see my grandfather's cows).

My family comes from poverty, where everyone lived in the countryside in a house made by my great-grandfather, a few years ago my grandfather built a better house compared to the previous one.

The countryside is a nice place for my family where we have all grown up and watch my grandfather grow old. I always played with my cousins and brothers to build houses with sticks, look for pine nuts and digüeñes from the trees, play the countries, soccer, volleyball, cross the river, accompany my grandfather to look for the animals, harvest vegetables from the garden and many other things. There was no internet at that time in the house, so we were looking for ways to have fun with games.

Hello classmates and teacher.

Today I will write to you about a photograph from my phone of the Dread Mar I concert in the city of Temuco, Chile, on August 6, 2022. My favorite Reggae artist, his songs are generally about love and heartbreak, perhaps you know him for his best known song "Tu Sin Mi" which is about the pain of losing the one you love.

My mom's best friend gave me the ticket, saying "how can you not go to the concert of your favorite singer". The next day another friend of my mom's won free tickets. I finally went with my mom, her best friend and her boyfriend, and I also invited two friends who are fans.

Dread Mar I sings live just like his songs, seeing him was a dream come true, in general I only listen to reggae and I've known him since I was born because my parents are hippies. Seeing this photo reminds me how much I love reggae and the lifestyle I chose, with the typical “peace and love”, that's why I have dreadlocks all over my hair, it's a vine that prevents negative vibes from entering you and your energy stays in your body, it is a "shield".

Currently being "hippie" is no longer in fashion, it is a tribal fashion of the 80s, I followed it because I was raised like that, I maintain my style with pride.

Here are my favorite songs by this artist:

- “Días De Sol Nublados”

- “Laberintos”

- “Reconozco”

- “Arena En Nuestras Manos”

- “Mami Papi”
